Thursday September 10 PORTLAND PANCAKE DAY GIVES OREGONIANS FREE BRAKFAST FOR LUNCH. “Portland Pancake day” in honor of the 225,000-pound donation of baking mix by Farmers Ending Hunger to the Oregon Food Bank. 11:45 a.m. Pioneer Courthouse Square.

Sunday September 13 CELEBRATION OF COURAGE FAMILY FESTIVAL. A Portland tradition since 1966. There is no admission fee. SUMMER’S END DOG FEST 2009: Film, food, fun, and Fido. Film Action Oregon will present the film “Wiener Takes All.” A dogumentary about the wild and crazy world of dachshund racing.
