Day of Service

Felicia Team.jpg

Each year AAAH and The ReBuilding Center partner with teams of community volunteers to provide free home repairs, yard maintenance, and bulky waste removal for our neighbors in NxNE Portland. This year's event will be held Saturday, August 16th from 9am-2pm at the homes of 5-10 residents in the North or Northeast Portland area. Day of Service helps stem displacement of some of our most vulnerable neighbors, improves quality of life, and is a great way to give back to the community! Projects range from yard beautification, clean-outs, bulky item hauling, power washing, painting, tree-trimming, minor plumbing and electrical, installing handrails, building planter boxes, and more.

Criteria and Selection Requirements:

  •  Household income is 80% or below of Portland’s Median Family Income by household size (see chart below)

  • ·         Home is located in North or Northeast Portland

  •

  • ·         Home is not currently on the market for sale

  • - Home is owner-occupied and the owner's primary residence

Priority consideration is given to our most at-risk neighbors experiencing one or more of the following factors: Are BIPOC, age 60+, experience a disabling condition/live with someone experiencing a disabling condition, or with children under the age of 5.
