On Saturday, May 18th, and Sunday, May 19th 2024 AAAH provided free bulk item disposal services for 30 BIPOC residents living in N x NE Portland. Free pickups took place throughout the weekend, primarily serving our 55+ neighbors, those with mobility impacting disabilities, and those making less than 80% of Portland's area median income (AMI). This event reduces fall risks, fire hazards, improves sanitation, accessibility, and overall enjoyment of our neighbor's homes while assisting our elderly community members as they age in place.
