On Saturday, May 18th, 2024 from 9am-3pm AAAH's community partners will remove hard to dispose of items from the homes of Portlanders who have not had equitable access to waste elimination. A large Drop Box (dumpster) will be onsite in the ReBuilding Center's parking lot for free disposal of bulky items such as furniture, appliances, cardboard, mattresses, bed frames, box springs, plywood, exercise equipment and more. AAAH is also providing pick-up services all day for folks with mobility limitations, just let us know!

2023's Community Clean-Up Day
On Saturday, May 23rd, 2023 AAAH held it's first public Community Clean-Up Day at The ReBuilding Center on Mississippi. The event was successful in disposing of over 40 cubic yards of unwanted materials thanks to our community partners, Portland 24/7 Movers, with several hundred additional pounds of items and metals being reused or recycled post-event. Over 30 households were served by the event, with a majority of those being requested pick-up services for those with mobility impairments/ over the age of 55/identifying as BIPOC.
