Minority Homeownership Assistance Collaborative (MHAC)

MHAC is a unique initiative of organizations such as; The African American Alliance for Homeownership (AAAH) and Naya, working to address the homeownership challenges faced by underserved communities.

One of the MHAC goals is to facilitate culturally specific homebuyer education and counseling in English and Spanish.

In addition, we want to reduce the increasing number of mortgage foreclosures and support homeowner retention for future generations.

In 2019-20 MHAC will award loans to first time homebuyers for downpayment/closing cost assistance (guidelines and restrictions will apply). Funds are limited and based on ability to qualify for a first mortgage.
